Proxy Checker

Test any HTTP, HTTPS, or SOCKS5 proxy for free. Check if it's online, measure latency, and discover the real exit IP address.

How does the proxy checker work?

Our proxy checker makes a real HTTP request through your proxy to verify it's working. Unlike other proxy checkers that only ping the proxy server, we actually route web traffic through the proxy and measure the real round-trip latency. We also discover the exit IP address — the IP that websites see when you browse through the proxy.

What proxy types are supported?

  • HTTP proxies — the most common type, works with most websites
  • HTTPS proxies — supports encrypted HTTPS traffic via CONNECT tunneling
  • SOCKS5 proxies — protocol-level proxy that works with any TCP traffic
  • SOCKS5 with authentication is not supported by Chromium-based browsers

Why use a proxy checker?

Before using a proxy for web scraping, multi-accounting, or privacy, it's important to verify it actually works. A proxy checker helps you:

  • • Confirm the proxy is online and accepting connections
  • • Measure the real latency to understand performance
  • • Discover the exit IP to verify the proxy's geographic location
  • • Test proxy authentication (username/password)
  • • Identify dead or misconfigured proxies before relying on them
